A:
Brackets should be placed no more than 2mm from incisal edges of teeth on the 3-3.

Q: Should I place the bracket with the clip opening to the gingival or the occlusal?
A:
The clip should open from the gingival towards the occlusal.

Q: Are stops required?
A:
It is highly recommended to use stops.

Q: Can Open Coil springs be used?
A:
Yes, where appropriate a Sentalloy stop wound (or similar) spring can be used.

Q: What is the recommended interval between patient visits?
A:
You should see patients every 5-6 weeks, any longer, and you may overcorrect

Q: Will the patient experience maxillary/mandibular interference?
A:
Yes, we recommend adding some type of build up to the occlusal of upper molars when bonding maxillary teeth. This will prevent lower incisors from biting into the upper brackets.

Q: What type of wire is used for MTM NoTrace cases?
A:
MTM NoTrace will only require an .012 or .014 round wire. You should never place a rectangular wire. This is a minor tooth movement treatment that will only use a phase one wire.

Q: Can I treat one arch with MTM NoTrace?
A:
Yes, depending on the case, you can consider treating one arch. However, if a patient has a deep, tight overbite, you should also bond the upper teeth to move them forward.

Q: What is the one of the most important things to cover when presenting this option to a patient?
A:
It is very important for your patient to realize and understand that this is cosmetic only.

Q: Can I use elastic chain with MTM NoTrace?
A:
No. You should use elastic thread instead to help close space.
